Wandering a couple of blocks off the famous Lombard Street in San Francisco I came across the intersection of Leavenworth and Francisco. I captured the eastern portion of Francisco Street with a palm tree, Coit Tower, infinite colorful houses and Yerba Buena Island and the Bay Bridge off in the distance.
Being a couple of blocks off of Lombard Street there wasn’t much tourist traffic. I guess you could say I was off the beaten path a bit. I took advantage by just relaxing and staring at this view for a while without a care in the world. 🙂
Given how relatively compact the actual city of San Francisco is, it’s easy to head out onto “side streets” when you find yourself in a neighborhood. When I’ve been in the area, Pacific Heights and Russian Hill are just two where I’ve gone “aimlessly wandering.”
Can never go wrong when wandering in San Francisco! Did some in the Mission District and Hayes Valley recently, good walks and times. 🙂
