When in San Francisco, I always make sure to stop by Pier 39 along the Embarcadero. Like most people, my main motivation is to see the famous sea lions, but that’s not all.
The foodie in me also takes me to the outdoor strawberry stand at Vlahos Orchards Fruit Market.

I also always make sure to stop in at Chocolate Heaven.
More local and imported chocolate in one place than you can imagine. You’ll come across chocolate covered anything, but I always gravitate towards…
…their chocolate covered potato chips. Yum! You’ll find lots of touristy things inside the store as well. I need to combine these two stops sometime. Anyone else thinking chocolate covered strawberries?!
I walked around the perimeter checking out the sea lions, along with the boats and marina and San Francisco Bay.
Peaked into some of the other shops, mainly the NFL Shop. There is a great selection no matter your team. Have bought lot’s of Denver Bronco gear there over the years. 🙂
Pier 39 has been around since 1978 providing many dining, entertainment and shopping options with great views.
It was a great time walking around, while consuming foodie goodness. Checkout Pier 39 when in San Francisco for the strawberries, chocolate and sea lions. Who knows what else will catch the eye?

As far as the Embarcadero, I love going to the Ferry Building, but always avoid Pier 39 haha… However, strawberries & chocolate? I could endure crowds for that. 🙂
Great views, shops and coffee to be had at the Ferry Building! Also love at 5 pm watching countless people head onto to the ferries to head home. Pier 39 will always get a bit of my SF time. Darn foodie goodness haha. 🙂
