A Pure Michigan Sunset.

Driving in Michigan recently there was something unusual going on. There were few clouds in the sky. Usually during the winter months it’s one cloudy day after another. That leads to not seeing many sunsets. 😦 It was getting closer to sunset and I was near Kensington Metropark in Milford so I decided to stop off and take advantage of the mostly clear sky.

I parked and made the snowy trek down to some piers along Kent Lake within the park. Upon arriving, right in front of me were lot’s of colors and a sunset! 🙂

Being opposite the lake and with lot’s of snow in view made for an enjoyable and scenic experience. I look forward to that next sunset. Who knows where I will capture it from.

  1. Pretty colors! You sure were driving there at the right time. 🙂

    • Definitely couldn’t believe my luck. 🙂 Stood there for a few minutes without taking pictures just to soak in the colors and snowy surrounding.

  2. Gorgeous! Even in the winter, it kind of warms your heart no?

I simply love sunsets, it’s one of life’s greatest & best free shows 😉

  3. Lovely pictures. I love sunsets, they are always beautiful aren’t they?

  4. Ahhhmmmazzinng sunset! Wish they were that beautiful here in France! – they do come close though, setting past the French Alps outside my WWOOF room window, it is a treat!

Lucky you for your clear skies!

  5. STUNNING SCENES!

    BE ENCOURAGED! BE BLESSED!

  6. After a snow storm it is usually quite clear, but we have not had much snow in the Midwest until lately. This may explain why the first part of winter was so lame for sunsets. Always great to see a sunset.

    • Yes yes, it snowed right before that. It seems like it’s been one winter storm after another passing through the Midwest recently.

  7. Wow! Stunning sunset pictures!

    • Thank you so much! Caught a lucky break, getting there at just the right time. Gotta love a good sunset!
