While in the Bay Area and Silicon Valley last summer, I had the chance to tour some of Yahoo’s corporate campus. We came upon their cafe, URL’s. I thought nothing of it at first, calling it “Earls”. Then the geek and web developer (my day job) in me got excited. Uniform Resource Locator, of course. That’s what you call the name or address to an Internet destination like http://www.yahoo.com or http://www.elatlboy.com. Yeay geekiness and travel have been combined!
