Driving on the South Island of New Zealand on the West Coast, my travel companion and I stopped in the small-town of Moana and came across this pier which darts out into Lake Brunner. Scenic panoramic views of the lake, mountains and more to be had. I would have loved to see the tops of the snow-capped mountains, but the fog and dark clouds were a nice touch. Even a dock in New Zealand is beautiful! 🙂

Beautiful shot! I’ve never been to New Zealand, but have heard only awesome things.
Thanks Samantha! New Zealand is a beautiful place. Hope you have a chance to get there!
There’s something mysterious about cloud-covered mountains. Docks everywhere are beautiful 🙂
What takes you to NZ?
Definitely, there is something about fog too! Docks and piers that stick out into the water always get me. The beauty of NZ at every turn, never wanting to put the camera down, is one reason. 🙂 It is very Lord of the Rings-isque.
A good enough reason as far as I’m concerned!
