#ElCafeDe2013 Coffee tip of the Week: Try to Include Some Conversation.

Your going to have a coffee at a non-chain coffee shop which is good in-and-of itself, but it would be made even better if…

Tip #11: … it included some conversation.

If your meeting someone or a group, no worries. If not try to strike up a conversation or small talk with the barista about the place, the coffee selection or try to interact with them as they are making your coffee. I engaged in friendly banter with the barista as he was making my La Tortuga, Honduras Pour Over at Intelligentsia Coffee in Chicago recently.

Once you have your java you could also try to engage your neighbor or others. You never know who you’ll meet and the interesting conversations that could come about.

Coffee at a non-chain coffee shop at home or in travels, outstanding! Speaking of meeting others, there is no one I’d rather share the experience and have a conversation with then my Dad. I look forward to grabbing another cup of coffee with him soon. πŸ™‚

Happy Father’s Day to my Dad and all the Dad’s out there! πŸ™‚

  1. Great tip for sure! Coffee convos, especially on the road, can be a lot of fun. πŸ™‚

  2. Phone in one hand, coffee in the other…I think I see where you get your love of coffee and SM πŸ˜†

    • Haha. Yes indeed! πŸ™‚ Usually get my initial pics then the phone goes away so I can enjoy the java and soak in the atmosphere.
