Last week while on the Celebrity Solstice on an Alaskan cruise, I had the chance to visit the coffeehouse on the ship, Café al Bacio. The reflection off the sign says it all.
Tip #22: Grab a coffee or visit a cafe over water…
…or under any unusual or unique circumstance whenever you have the chance.
The baristas were busy on this early morning making a lot of the usual drinks: lattes, mochas, shots of espresso, etc.
I wanted something different so I went for their grind of the day, Espresso Melba. It was espresso, peaches, hot chocolate, fresh whipped cream and crushed amaretti biscuits.
A delicious combo to enjoy alongside Deck 5 on the Solstice with nothing but the open water straight ahead somewhere along British Columbia or Alaskan, Canada or the United States. Oh yeah and there was nothing but water beneath me. 🙂
There was lots of comfortable seating and the cafe had a luxurious feel to it. I was on a cruise ship so the servers were prompt and frequent visitors making sure all of my needs were being taken care of.
Through the glass I grabbed an early morning shot of the open sea.
A few minutes later the deliciousness was gone. A great beverage and time at Café al Bacio, the 78th stop on the #ElCafeDe2013 train.
Later on the cruise my fiance joined me for a Caramel Latte and Cafe Mocha and more good times.
Have you ever visited a cafe and grabbed a coffee in a unique environment in your travels or around home?
