Photo(s) of the Week: All Signs Point to the Yukon.

While in Skagway, Alaska you’ll notice lots of signage that includes Whitehorse. Whitehorse is the capital and largest town in the Yukon in Canada. It’s a relatively short drive north. Twenty miles to customs!

In fact you’ll see travel signage pointing you to several Yukon destinations.

  1. I did that a few years ago, 30hr bus to Whitehorse (ugh) and drove a big circle up to Dawson City and back via a snowy Top of the World Highway. Amazing landscapes.

  2. i would love to take that trip. I’m haunted by the decision not to visit AK & northern Canada. Someday…

  3. I love Whitehorse – it was a favorite of mine when I moved to Fairbanks and drove up. The Alaska Hwy is incredible – I definitely want to drive it again! So many adventures!

    • Heard great things from the locals in Skagway, a lot drive there for the bigger things that they don’t have. Driving that way must be so beautiful! πŸ™‚ Got excited seeing those signs realizing how close it was.
