While on an Alaskan Cruise, we had a quick stop in Victoria, British Columbia, Canada. On the way to an excursion we went through downtown. Driving by I managed to get a shot of both the historic British Columbia Legislature Building and Fairmont Empress Hotel.
Victoria is the capital of British Columbia with the government being housed in the beautiful legislature building. It is quite the sight to see at night being all lit up along the southern banks of the Inner Harbour. The hotel has seen many famous people come through it walls since it opened in 1908. It is designated a National Historic Site of Canada and sits facing the Inner Harbour from the east.
awesome photos…while I live in Ontario, Canada I did many many years ago live in Vancouver, but unfortunately never made it to Victoria…so thanks for sharing these!
Thanks! Hope you do get there someday. It’s a beautiful place, wish I could have stayed longer. 🙂
maybe some day…never say never! 🙂
