Photo of the Week: A Snowy Ohio College Campus.

The first big snow of the season has hit. Your not looking forward to the terrible road conditions, getting out that shovel or dealing with the cold air and blowing snow.

While walking around in Findlay, Ohio during their first snow I came up to the main entrance of the University of Findlay. Scenes like this after a fresh snow, at least for a little bit, makes everything a bit more tolerable. πŸ™‚

  1. love this pic!

  2. Beautiful! I’m an Ohio native and as much as we complain about the snow, and our sports teams, the snow is absolutely beautiful when you catch it after a fresh blanket.

Are you visiting anywhere else in Ohio?

    • Thanks Staci! What makes it even more beauitful is that it’s the middle of the holiday season. More exploration ahead in Ohio for sure. Any city, town, attraction or coffee shop recommendations? πŸ™‚

      • Oh where do I begin?! If you’re going to visit Cleveland, I suggest going to Ohio City. There’s a lot of breweries. If you’re a beer fan, check out Great Lakes Brewery for some Christmas Ale. Also, check out the West Side Market.

As always, I’ll suggest going to see The Christmas Story House! Us Clevelanders love that part of film was filmed here. It fits the season, too, but it’s open year round as well.

If you want to go further south, Columbus is always fun. The Ohio State campus is beautiful. My favorite part is the library. It’s probably one of the most impressive looking libraries I have ever seen! I haven’t had a chance to go to the Columbus Zoo, but I hear it’s amazing.

I suggest coming in the summer as well so you can check out Cedar Point. I did a post about CP not too long ago. Check that out for more info! (shameless plug)

I could go on and on, so if you want more information or suggestions please let me know!

      • Wow Staci thank you for the suggestions. Have actually been to the Ohio City neighborhood and West Side Market. Can’t get there enough. Well worth the drive to load up on produce. Koffie Cafe is a great coffee spot I found within there. Need to dive into the brewery scene there, thanks for the suggestion.

I actually wondered to Columbus yesterday. Will need to checkout the campus and zoo next time. Did go to North Market, another foodie gem. Hung out at the some coffee spots throughout town, the favorite being Staufs in Grandview Heights Will reach out when looking for more fun and when I have something else planned! πŸ™‚

  3. Very strange to return from Asia to fluffy white stuff. I just wish it would stay around. Going to rain this weekend.

    • Yep. Lots of rain this weekend. Just icey, salty and dirty snow piles now. Hope there will be a fresh layer of white snow for Christmas Day. πŸ™‚
