An Ann Arbor Morning Stroll Along the Huron.

Just north of downtown Ann Arbor, Michigan, a little bit off the beaten path, is Barton Park. Here along Barton Pond and the Huron River you’ll see the calmness of the blue water and all the lily pads and greenery that surrounds. It’s a place close by, yet away from all the interstate and city noise. It makes for a great place to walk, run and get away in the early morning.

Well it’s time to continue out on the open path. 🙂 Stay tuned for when I roam across the Huron River into the Barton Nature Area.

  1. I have to say that is a beautiful area I used to live not far from there then I moved to the upper lower part of Michigan on the sunrise side.

    • Yes, lots of scenic spots along the Huron River and in/around Ann Arbor. Discovering new places to hangout each time come this way. 🙂 Gotta love Pure Michigan!

  2. I will driving up through Michigan and past Lake Huron on the way to northern Ontario next week. Good to know about cool places like this for future reference.

    • Cool beans. Where are you going in Ontario? Need to take a drive along the Canada side of the lake sometime, including Bruce Peninsula. Heard great things from a lot of people.

  3. I have been chastised on twitter for my geography fail. Apologies to Lake Huron and Huron River mix up.

    • No worries Ted. 🙂 Looking at my title I could see how’d it be easy too. The Huron River winds around Ann Arbor and beyond ending in Lake Erie.
