Overlooking Two Skylines, Cities and Countries in Autumn.

Back to Belle Isle Park in Detroit I go! I’ve posted photos and written about this spot before during the heart of the summer and in the dead of winter. It’s a place I get to once a season, so below is how it looked on a recent trip in Autumm. Beautiful every time.

The Detroit River is right in front of you with Detroit’s skyline, the state of Michigan and the United States on the right. Turn to the left side of the river and you have the city of Windsor and it’s skyline, the province of Ontario and Canada.

Time to relax and enjoy the view amongst the fallen leaves.

It looks like I have lots of company. πŸ™‚

One spot, two skylines, two cities and two countries. See you again in winter my friend!

Have you visited a spot overlooking multiple skylines, cities, states/provinces and/or countries at the same time?

  1. Awesome photos! Autumn is such a great time to be outside among nature.

  2. After two years in the tropics, I miss the fall color of the Midwest. Thanks for sharing! To answer your question, two states and countries, yes, but not nearly as picturesque. Best regards! Melissa πŸ™‚

  3. I haven’t been to Belle Isle in a long time, but I grew up going to the aquarium there. It is pretty cool to be able to see both skylines.

    • I’ve been to Belle Isle a lot over the last few years but have never been to the aquarium. Heard great things. Going to have to check it out sometime. Such a beautiful and peaceful place where both skylines are in view. πŸ™‚

  4. From White Rock in Canada you can see Mt Baker in Washington State, USA. I’ve always enjoyed the thought of the US being at my fingertips from there.

    • Very cool! Sounds like a very scenic spot. Gotta love being able to see another place off in the distance. I usually get goosebumps whenever that happens. Another place to explore, in your case another country, is right there for you to explore. πŸ™‚
