Spring in Holland, Michigan means it is time for another Tulip Time (Festival)! During Tulip Time each year you will find millions of tulips planted all over town of all colors. One spot, actually an intersection, I kept finding myself at was the corner of 7th Street and College Street on the north side of downtown.
Walking first past this intersection right after sunrise, it was quite cool so some the bright yellow and orange tulips were still closed.
Later in the morning and into the afternoon as I walked by a couple of more times, with the summer air and bright sunshine in place, the tulips were wide open. They were saying hello so I had to stop and hang out some more! I’ll let the rest of the picture tell the story.
Where is your favorite place to checkout the tulips of Spring around home or that you have come across in your travels?
Gorgeous and colorful captures Aaron! Wow. Must have been a feast for the eyes ๐
Thank you Karla! It was, even more beautiful than the camera lets on. ๐
I sure know but at least you captured beauty ๐
Beautiful shots. We are planning to drive to Michigan over the weekend to visit the tulip festival. Can’t wait. Thanks for sharing ๐
Thank you Nikita! Cool beans. You guys have a blast. Make sure to checkout the tulips at Window on the Waterfront and Windmill Island Gardens if haven’t been and have the chance. ๐
Oh thank you for the suggestions and also for the follow. Looking forward to read more of your stories ๐
I love the color of these! Last spring I checked out Roozengaarde in Mt. Vernon, WA after moving to Seattle. So many tulips. It was beautiful.
Thanks Amy! They immediately caught the eye, from a block away.
Just looked up Roozengaarde, looks like a magical place. Will have to keep it in mind if ever back in Seattle. ๐
There aren’t many tulips around these parts! I love them though. Your photos are fun! Fun to find Holland at home. ๐
Thank you so much! ๐ Would love to get to Holland in Europe someday to experience. But Holland, Michigan has a great history with them as well. ๐
Best place I ever saw tulips were these blood red ones in the Botanical Gardens in Kyoto. Great shots here. Nice you don’t have to go all the way to Japan to see beautiful ones in Michigan.
Sounds beautiful in Japan too! Thanks Ted. Yeah, it’s cool to have a town that loves their tulips in Holland so close to home. ๐
Oh this is quite lovely ! My favourite spot is Keukenhof, obviously ๐
Thank you! Was great to see some tulips up close. Will need to checkout your tulip photos again. Hope to make it to Holland in Europe someday. ๐
Thanks for liking my blog post of the Keukenhof. I hope you will get a chance to see it ‘live’ one day!
No problem, thanks for coming to checkout my post as well. Do hope to get there someday, looks magical! ๐
