Another Autumn has come and gone here in Pure Michigan and the Midwestern US. Most of Fall was unusually warm. Between that and being out of town during the heart of the season, I wasn’t able to experience the fall colors as much as in years past.
I did have a chance to sneak out and venture around Ann Arbor, Brighton and the western suburbs of Detroit a little bit. It doesn’t matter where you are in the state, it seems the beautiful colors will be right in front of you. Well without further ado:

Huron Meadows Metro Park in Brighton. An annual stop.

You never know the scenes that await while driving random dirt roads. From Livingston County.

Off to the dirt roads it is around Ann Arbor.

Michigan Stadium straight ahead. It only take one Fall tree or two to make a beautiful scene.

It’s a great time for the kids to hit the playground like here in western Wayne county.

Michigan falls are my favorite π great photos!!!
Thank you so much Cate! They are hard to beat. #mittenlove π
Nice work on the photos. Love the post – from Illinois and pretty much all over with fall color, waiting on the first βοΈ
Thank you so much! Imagine you have beautiful colors in Autumn too. Never been to Chicago or any part of state in Fall. Yeah, lots of bare trees over this way now. Seems like we went from summer to winter in a hurry this year.
The pictures are stunning, so much colour! Definitely going on my list to visit someday π
Wow, having leaf envy here! This fall has been pretty disappointing in Tokyo, because two super-unseasonable typhoons blew all the colored leaves off the trees and left them weirdly half bare and half green! Not a good look on anyone, least of all a maple tree. Looking forward to seeing more of your quite-lovely photography!
Thank you Jonelle! Sorry to hear that. We had unseasonably warm weather this way, which led to a super short Fall color season. Hope the leaves return in ernst next year. π π
Pure beauty and adorable scenes!
Thank you so much! π π π π
Love seeing the colors from my home state. We haven’t had good colors here in Virginia.
Glad I could share them. I’m sorry to hear. Over this way you had to take advantage as soon as you saw color because it was gone quickly. The leaves changed a lot later then normal due to summer weather carrying on til near the end of October.
Great shots from around SE Michigan. I found that there wasn’t as much color this year as there usually is, but you’ve captured the colors beautifully!
Thank you Tom! Yeah, the warm temperatures did seem to linger a while this year, goofing up the timing of things. Definitely didn’t see the normal Autumn scenes on some my frequent driving spots this season. π¦ Enjoyed what I did come across nevertheless. π
You have stunning capture of the beautiful autumn!!
Thank you Janaline! Do love capturing the scenes of Fall. Wished they lasted longer. π
